Marvic TextilesMarvic Textiles was founded by Victor Afia in 1938. His aim was to offer fabrics for decoration that were superior in style and quality, importing from France, Italy and Belgium. Today the London based business is run by his son Peter Afia and is one of the few remaining privately owned British fabric houses.
Marvic specialises in the design, production and distribution of the best luxury woven fabrics in the interiors industry and have become known for creating timeless classics of an enduring appeal. Many of their designs can be found in the country’s most famous ancestral homes including Buckingham Palace, Sandringham, Chatsworth and Althorp. Collections OverviewThis Autumn Marvic presents the new collection ‘Les Indiennes’ consisting of three archive prints, ‘Hibiscus’, ‘Orissa’ and ‘Lisières’ adapted from late 18th/early 19th Century Indienne designs from France. They are offered alongside new cotton plains ‘Aquilla’ and ‘Cassius’ in complementing colours. Both are exceptionally durable, perfect ‘go-with’ fabrics and have a great price tag. Also new is ‘Banyan’, a classic tree-of-life design hand embroidered in wool on linen.
