The Affordable Art Fair takes place in Battersea Park, London SW11 each year. This year it will be on from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th March 2015 and is well worth a visit. 

One of London’s friendliest art fairs - art lovers, art connoisseurs and art novices alike can browse affordable art by thousands of artists under one roof. There are 112 participating galleries from all over the UK and abroad showcasing art for visitors to browse and enjoy. All the art exhibited is for sale and prices are between £100 and £5,000. 

Paintings, original artist-made prints, sculpture and photography all on show. Whether you are looking for artwork that is traditional or contemporary, by a famous name or an undiscovered talent this is an excellent place to look.

I recently met with Willa from Andrew Martin. They have some unusual and eclectic designs which are definitely worth a look. More to come on these soon, but in the meantime take a look at this ......... Camelo Plaster wallpaper from the Museum collection with chairs covered in Iznik printed velvet - a stunning and unique vintage Suzani design available in 3 colourways.

We saw these at 100% Design this year. They are part of the new Cemento collection and were on display on the Porcelain Tiles Ltd stand. They come in a 4 colours and 7 sizes and are something quite out of the ordinary. We have been looking for hard flooring to give a sense of decaying grandeur for a new project - it looks as if we may have found just the right thing!

We love these hand crafted Cave design luminaries. Designed and made in London by Naomi Paul Studio and showcased at 100% Design these are unusual, striking and look stunning grouped together.

We had a fantastic day at 100% Design yesterday. A wealth of outstanding ideas and innovations on show this year and both the visual impact and the practicality of the design solutions were truly inspirational. We have heaps of photographs, literature and samples to be sifted through for ongoing projects and for the design library plus everything we couldn't physically carry still to come! Here are a few eye catching ideas for now ..........

Found when tracking down a fabric for a client - this beautiful paisley patterned velvet, woven using a jacquard technique is from the new Jaipur Autumn collection. This comes in 8 colours and I think it will look stunning used for just about anything.

We like this new collection from Romo ...... intricately woven fabrics that beautifully combines an elegant ‘tree of life’ design and a tranquil floral damask with a hand embroidered effect, both perfectly balanced alongside a vibrant selection of small scale weaves including an ombre check, a herringbone stripe and original geometrics.
